Dear Customers & Friends:
Good morning.
As
per you surely know through the news and media, our country suffered
a very tough earthquake which left several damages in the central
part of Chile. This natural disaster has been terrible, since many
people lost their houses and other material things but also relatives
and friends, which is the most sad situation. The infrastructure
concerning buildings, roads and others is seriously damaged,
specially in the VII and VIII regions. However, we are putting all
our people & effort to work in order to stand up again and go on
with life. The international community has been very kind with us,
offering all kind of help, for which we are very thankful.
Chile is a great country with a strong
economy and will be able to reconstruct and recover from this
tragedy, as we have done it with many others before.
Olivares de Quepu has been very fortunate
after all. Our buildings and processing plants are OK and the oil is
impeccable. We had to react very quickly using electric generators to
keep the electric energy on, taking take care of our product that
also has been protected in the stainless steel tanks without any
problems. Anyhow, our workers suffered big losses and we are trying
very hard to give them all possible support and help them in their
way, since many had big personal losses.
We want to give special thanks to all of
you, that from the first moment showed solidarity and affection to
us, offering help all the time.
We appreciate very much your kindness and
feelings for our company and workers, for which we kindly ask you to
put all your effort to continue commercializing our product, since
this will be the best way to give us a hand in this hard times we are
going through.
